These magazine covers keep popping up on my Pinterest feed, and I'm so inspired by them. Not only are they beautifully photographed and designed, but the thought behind them is artistic and experiential. They're so much more than the average marshmallow-grinned celebutants we are *assaulted with at the local newsstand. The new norm? Wishful thinking...

Did you think we needed another interior décor online zine? Little did I know that in fact, we do. (And no, no one asked me to write this post.)
Well, Domaine Home launched yesterday and I am in love. The site is so clean, beautiful, and (of course) filled with very thoughtful content on livable design and personal style. (The above images are from a story on Lea Michele's Los Angeles home—one of many stunning features.)
As someone who is struggling to decorate a new home on a budget, this site is providing some much-needed introduction to affordable online shops that I've never even heard of before, bargain Etsy and Ebay finds, and approachable styling tips. Go read now!

Hello again, Monday, my old friend. We meet again.
What did I do this weekend? Well, I'm thrilled to have a few of my good friends from graduate school officially living in New York City! Needless to say, it makes such a big difference to have the people who know you best just across the park, rather than across the Google Hangout screen. I'm rather thankful to have them nearby. We had fun catching up and downloading on the move/new job experiences. Speaking of, today is my 6-month start date "anniversary" at Ralph Lauren. Huzzah!
As for the apartment, I'm in a holding pattern unpacking, zhushing, and re-zhushing my new space. I'm finding that the lack of furniture upon move-in is catching up to me. The space is so empty, and it will take me many months to be able to furnish it the way I might like. But that's life as a single gal in the big city! Life is rarely perfect, but it's a life nonetheless, right (re: today's quotation)?
